As a Pennsylvania wedding photographer who loves documenting authentic, vibrant love stories, Eden & Erik’s wedding day was an absolute dream to capture. From a heartfelt self-unity ceremony to a post-wedding celebration at a local brewery in downtown Chambersburg, every detail was beautifully personal and full of meaning.
If you’re planning a non-traditional wedding in Chambersburg, Gettysburg, Carlisle, or the South Central PA area — this is the kind of celebration that will inspire you to make your day completely you.
A Gorgeous Day with Their Closest Loved Ones
Eden & Erik tied the knot on a stunning day surrounded by their closest family and friends. The entire vibe was intimate, intentional, and deeply rooted in who they are as a couple. The focus wasn’t on elaborate traditions — it was about their testimony to one another, spoken from the heart, and witnessed by the people who know and love them most.
A Self-Unity Ceremony: They Married Themselves!
One of the most powerful moments of the day was their self-uniting ceremony — yes, they married themselves! This is legal in Pennsylvania and is such an empowering option for couples who want a ceremony that’s fully personal and reflective of their relationship.
Eden & Erik exchanged vows directly to each other without an officiant, and it created such an intimate, unforgettable atmosphere. As a wedding photographer in PA, moments like these are what I live for — raw, emotional, and completely true to the couple.
A Bingo-Style Drawing for Marriage License Witnesses 🎉
Rather than choosing witnesses the traditional way, Eden & Erik added a fun and unexpected twist: a bingo-style drawing! Each guest had a number, and when the lucky ones were drawn, they got the once-in-a-lifetime honor of signing the marriage license. It was such a unique, joyful way to involve their guests and brought so many smiles and cheers.
Brewery Reception at GearHouse Brewing Co. in Downtown Chambersburg 🍻
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to GearHouse Brewing Company, one of Chambersburg’s beloved local breweries. Since Eden & Erik love visiting breweries together, it only made sense to celebrate somewhere that felt like them.
They cut their cake, toasted with craft beers, and enjoyed the warm, relaxed atmosphere while surrounded by the people they love most. It was the perfect end to a perfect day — laid-back, full of laughter, and bursting with joy.
